Thank You!

Turning 2 is a very busy thing, so forgive me that it has taken me this long to thank everyone. I’ve really been enjoying all my new toys. Thanks to everyone who sent me gift cards or money. I like picking toys out, but Mom has this crazy idea that I need clothes instead. When will she learn?! I asked Mom to take a picture of me enjoying all of my gifts so I could post them here. I think she got most of them. She hasn’t let me play with the sprinkler ball yet. She keeps saying, “let it warm up a little more.” So Cailyn, when Mom thinks it’s warm enough, you’ll have to come over and play with me.

Thank you Grammy and Papa for my video game and Tub Whistle. I really enjoy playing with them.

I really love playing with my choo-choos! Thank you Great Grandma and Grandpa Lee and Grandpa and Jane!

Mom really likes this outfit. Thank you Uncle Steve, Aunt Rachel, and all the Diaz Cousins!

I have lots of fun on this lion. I named it Aslan. I like to use it to climb on to other things. I even let Joshua get on it sometimes. Thanks Uncle Chucky, Aunt Amy, and all the Stone Cousins.

I have lots of fun running around the house trying to tag all the animals in this game. Thanks Aunt Emily, Uncle Steven, and Emma.

I like my puzzle and train that Uncle Matt, Aunt Hill, and David and Muzie got for me. I like putting the puzzle together and then dumping the pieces out again to let Mom pick up.

Mom thought that the enjoyment I got from this present was best shown in a short video rather than a picture. Here it is. Thanks to the Stogner’s for this book. I love it!

A Day in My Life…

I know the burning question on everyone’s mind is, “how does Caleb spend his Saturdays?” So not wanting to disappoint any of my readers, I decided to dedicate an entire post to answering that question. This is a typical Saturday, complete with pictures and witty commentary.

Good Morning! Ya, I know it’s only 7:00am on a Saturday, but I’m ready to get my day started. I’ve been standing in my crib talking for about 15 minutes, and mom and dad finally came in — and I promptly told them to take this picture.

img_3502.JPG

There’s a lot to be done and no time to lose. I need to play, eat, play, diaper change, get dressed, play, wait for mommy and daddy to get ready, play. You get the picture.

img_3504.JPG

Finally Mom and Dad are ready, and we are on the road. Could they have taken any longer?

img_3507.JPG

After almost falling asleep in the car, we finally arrive to our destination. Perhaps some day we won’t live in Smallsbury and I won’t have to spend 30 minutes in the car to get to any place other than Wally-World. Today I find myself at Target. I love Target.

img_3509.JPG

I really LOVE Target!

img_3514.JPG

We made a few more stops, but I was starting to get pretty hungry. I got Mom and Dad to stop at Subway so I could eat some lunch!

img_3515.JPG

A full belly + a short car ride to Sam’s Club= a sleepy lil’ pup! This is where my parents buy diapers in bulk. Dad says I keep Sam’s and Wal-mart afloat just with my diaper needs. I personally think it is all the candy mom and dad won’t share with me.

Finally all that shopping is out of the way and it’s time to really play. I love it outside. Nothing like getting some extra vitamin D. All the neighborhood girls like to check out the gun show when I I go shirtless.

img_3545.JPG

I’m going for a ride in the wagon I got for Christmas from Grammy and Papa. On the hill our house was built on, it is like a roller coaster! I have to hold on tight to the sides.

A busy day with lots of fresh air deserves a big dinner. Mom lets me feed myself before she brings out the dreaded spoon. Here you have a rare shot when I have not thrown my sippy cup to the floor. I like watching mom and dad scramble to pick it up. (I also like to hear my name, and throwing it to the floor after each sip is a sure way to get mom to say it!)

After dinner dad and I often retire to the living room for carpet wrestling. When I wear dad out, I come in to the kitchen and help mom by taking out the dishes she has just put in to the dishwasher.

img_3550.JPG

When I hear the water running, I strip down to nothing, cause I know it is bath time. I can’t get in by myself yet so I have to wait for dad to get in the water.

img_3551.JPG

Oooh! Look at the column of liquefied sparkles! (Certainly don’t look where I have my hand.)

img_3554.JPG

One of my favorite bath toys is this purple cup that dad drilled holes in the bottom of it. It makes it hard to drink the delicious bath water, but it sure is fun to play with.

img_3557.JPG

Ah! A little night time nip. Nothing puts me to sleep like a little warm milk. I like mom and dad, but at bedtime only mom will do.

This is me reposed for the night. Have to get a good night’s sleep so that I can be up at sunrise again tomorrow! Hope you have enjoyed spending the day with me. Come and do it in person sometime.

My Hobbies

Well, dad finally decided at six months that I was old enough to do some of my own blogging. Ever since I first got my hands on a keyboard I have been dying to do some of my own entries. Today I am going to share some of my hobbies, a.k.a. how mom and I stay busy while dad is at work.

Blogging

Dad gave me my first lesson in changing the oil the other day. I watched carefully as dad showed me the ins and outs of this piece of routine automobile maintenance. From this I learned that changing the oil must be a lot like changing a diaper. Once dad got underneath the car, it started peeing on him just like I do when he takes my diaper off. Even dad’s hands looked like he was changing a dirty diaper!

Mom has been reading from my picture Bible to me every day, so I decided to give the reading thing a try myself. What I don’t understand is why my parents sit around and just look at something that clearly tastes so delicious. My motto is, “A book in the mouth is worth two in the hand.” (I can’t get bookworms from that can I?)

Dad has been spending some time teaching me about the guitar. Mostly I strum while dad picks out some chords. I really like how it sounds, and I would like it better if my arms were long enough to strum and chord. Well, all I need is a few more months. I’m already almost as tall as Pastor Kratzer.

Guitar

Finally, in my spare time I have been practicing a little male modeling. I know we all wonder sometimes if there is more to life than being really, really, ridiculously good looking… but I try not to think about that too much. I can’t afford to be distracted or I could get caught in the middle of a breakdance fight or a freak gasoline fight accident. This is my new look. I like to call it “blue felt.”

Modeling

Until next time, keep on bloggin…
